In July 2005 Hunstanton unveiled the plans for it's Marine Hospital.
After taking in an increasing number of fish, and with the conitnuing success of their own breeding schemes, Hunstanton had to expand its quarantine facilities and, at the same time, provided an addtional attraction for visitors.
The Marine Hospital comprises of four special wards: Maternity/Paternity ward; Intensive Care; Nursery and New Arrivals. The only ward that visitors are not able to access is the Intensive Care yet even here visitors can see what is happening with the patients through observational windows.
Hunstantons Marine Hospital allows a unique opportunity to see what takes place behind the scenes and to follow the progress of sick or injured fish.
