Otters
The otter enclosure at Hunstanton, with its large viewing windows is the perfect place to observe otters exploring, playing and feeding without disturbing them.
Hunstanton is now home to six male otters; Chipz and his five sons. Though Chipz, born in 1996, was initially very aggressive towards other otters and was moved from his birthplace in a wildlife park in the South West to another park before arriving at Hunstanton in may 2001 where his temper is steadily improving.
Otters sleep in holts; an underground home usually lined with grass, reeds and twigs. At Hunstanton, visitors can see inside of the holt through the viewing windows.
