The Seal Hospital at Hunstanton is for those seals that arrive at the SEA LIFE Sanctuary in a sick and injured condition. Here the seals are cared for by a dedicated veterinary team until they have reached a target weight, at which point they are moved to a nursery pool to ensure optimum strength and health before being returned to the sea. Once a seal has been released from the sanctuary it's progress can be monitored thanks to an indentity tag attached at the Seal Hospital.
The Seal Hospital offers regular talks and feeding displays so visitors to the SEA LIFE Sanctuary can witness the improvement in a seals health and development before its released back into the wild.
