Visit Scarborough SEA LIFE & Marine Sanctuary and see the spectacular new Turtle Reef housing some magnificent sea turtles and learn about their plight. As you walk through the ocean tunnel you are transported to the Caribbean with the colourful creatures and amazing views of the captivating turtles.
This year the Centre is inviting visitors to literally get lost, with the unveiling of a dizzying mirror maze with a rainforest theme - Lost in Amazonia. There will also, of course, be a variety of Amazon creatures to discover as explorers try to navigate from entrance to exit.
The Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary is also home to a Seal hospital which is busy all year round, caring for both common and grey seal pups until they are well enough to return to the wild.
Visit the Humboldt penguins at Scarborough SEA LIFE Centre and the cheeky otters. Don't miss the Claws display where you can see the giant Japanese Spider crab who can grow to a massive three meters across!
There is a daily programme of talks and feeding demonstrations so be sure not to miss the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding into the world beneath the waves.
The Great Barrier Reef has been re-created here at Scarborough SEA LIFE Centre and Marine Sanctuary. The Great Barrier Reef is an amazing natural wonder of the world, tropical sharks, rays and coral frequent these waters this year!
The busy seal hospital is still going strong with seals being released back into the wild at points throughout the year, the otter and penguin sanctuaries will be available for visits, we have so much to show you!
